I'm looking for a boat surveyor in the Jacksonville Florida area. Any recomendations?

I'll second Mike, he did my 22 Donzi and not only is very thorough he is very reasonable too. He'll also do an engine check and mechanical if you need that. Most surveyors only do the hull.

Another consideration- and probably the most important. There's a huge difference between a Cigarette and a SeaRay and a blow boat. Does a guy who knows all about where SeaRay's rot really know by looking the differences in high performance hardware? What boats were plagued with fuel tank issues? What drives have had what updates? What's impossible to find parts for?

Go over to the HORBA websie and look at the pics of Ed throttling Howard Quam's "Flap Jack" open class raceboat. Knowing it is one thing, experience is everything.

I appreciate the replies from everyone. Before I posted the thread Ed Cozzi came to mind but I thought he was in south Florida. I'd definately want someone that could look over the whole boat and compression check the engines. I'll get on the phone tomorrow.
