We've finally been making some good strides with the boating arena here in Pittsburgh. Now we've hit a roadblock. The City Council is propossing a ordinace that will impact not only the local boaters but people who come in from out of the area and want to vacation here with their boat. The plan is to require a docking permit to tie up to public waterfronts and parks. It also limits the amount of time (48 hours) that you can remain tied up before you have to shove off. Please send emails to the attached Council Person voicing your opinion on how this ordinance will negatively impact your plans for coming to visit Pittsburgh with your boat. Even if you dont plan on doing so. We need to get their attention.
