URGENT... Need Help of OSO Family

We've finally been making some good strides with the boating arena here in Pittsburgh. Now we've hit a roadblock. The City Council is propossing a ordinace that will impact not only the local boaters but people who come in from out of the area and want to vacation here with their boat. The plan is to require a docking permit to tie up to public waterfronts and parks. It also limits the amount of time (48 hours) that you can remain tied up before you have to shove off. Please send emails to the attached Council Person voicing your opinion on how this ordinance will negatively impact your plans for coming to visit Pittsburgh with your boat. Even if you dont plan on doing so. We need to get their attention.

Any emails will help.

email reply to my email...give me an Pittsburgh addres to plug in...

Patrick,

Thank you for sending your comments on the docking legislation. Could you please send me your home address? I need to include them with all the comments we send along. I’ll be passing along all the comments we receive on this proposed legislation by Monday.

Please note that our office did not write the legislation, and we are not sponsoring it. We are just collecting input after one of our constituents expressed some concern.

As this bill moves along, I’ll be sending out updates to everyone who contacted us about it. When the bill comes to council, we plan on calling a public hearing so everyone can come and speak in front of all the council members about this. We hope it will make an impact in the bill.

Thanks again,

Sean
