Oh, please! This stuff is beyond stupid. We've got a bunch of ignorant news reporters parroting a scam artist looking for his 15 minutes of fame like they are reporting factual information. Did everyone ditch their physics classes in high school? No one is going to be violating the conservation of energy laws of physics. No oil company has to create a conspiracy, because no one is going to make a car run on water without putting energy in it.

Efficiencies aside (yes, those pesky coefficients of reality), the resultant net energy between the quantity required to separate a water molecule into its constituent atoms (hydrogen and oxygen), and the quantity released by rejoining them is, oh, about zero. Unfortunately, in the real world (due to said efficiency) you will consume more energy making hydrogen from water(whether its through electrolysis, radiation, or by any other means) than you will gain by recombining it with oxygen.

Maybe it is not necessary to use electricity to separate the water molecule into hydrogen and oxygen.

A lot of chemicals react violently with water. I will bet that there is a chemical that could be used as a catalyst with water to cause a reaction so violent that the water would separate into its hydrogen and oxygen components.

If the catalyst could be discovered, it could be installed near or in the injector right before it goes into the cylinder.

Does anyone have a clue how the honda fuel cell works? They will be using fuel cell powered cars on a test basis in so cal by the end of the year according to the stuff i read at work(honda dealer) If they can't get more any more energy out than they put in I doubt they would be spending millions upon millions in R&D on it. H cells have been around since about the 50's. they work ,basically, by rejoining oxygen and hydrogen across a membrane sheding one electron and producing the byproducts heat water and electricity. Problem is (as said above) hydrogen is difficult to obtain, it takes a great deal of energy to break the covalent bond in water to get the H to run the car in the first place. (they dont tell ya that :rolleyes:) The trade off to run the H cell vehicle becomes less practical when you look at the big picture

There is no magic perpetual motion machine nor will there ever be. The best we can do is continue to make things more and more efficient (which we have been).

The idea of zero point energy, and ether makes sence. Your not getting perpetual motion, simply converting a different form of energy into more energy. Magnet motors are one theory. The fact that you can vary the force of magnetism by moving the magnets apart in a different lines explains how these things could work.

Very interesting reading, it goes from aliens gave us technology to government not allowing free energy to dump on the market, for good reason.

I had a good physics 2 teacher at NJIT, and have been very interested in non-conventional theories.. true or untrue.
