Default Xr drive problem

just recived my x drives changed the gimble bearings and now the drives will not go in the input shaft looks like it is to large for the new style bearing has anybody done this converison??also changed the bellow sleave but it is not hitting this thanks james

yes the alignment tool works but the shaft still is too large. i even used just the input shaft off a old drive with no u joints still would only go in to 1/4 before double o ring at the u joint. the bearing is in all the way also even around. the mercury hp dealer installed it i will try again tomorow.is their two bearings for this app.? my engine alignment is perfect my old drive would fall off when you took off the last nut also went on like butter.

Did you try turning to align the spline? I don't know if you are geting in that far also try a little grease on o rings.

the problem is not the splines. the input shaft is going into the splines of the coupler app.1and 1/2 inches the prob is the last one inch when the input shaft enlarges for the bearing. this is not as dirty as it sounds sorry for sounding like a perv!!!

I don't know if you can check to make sure that they gave you right bearing.
