I'm not inclined to post much, but I have to jump in here. I have two 30' work/dive boats with Marine Power engines. One has twin Marine Power 5.7 efis and the other has twin 4-cyl. naturally aspirateds. These boats work everyday in Lake Pontchartrain. Lots of backing down to pickup divers; towing boats, work platforms, etc. really hard use. I will never use any other engines. More power than a comparable merc. Completely reliable. Two fuel and oil filters Be sure you get a Marine Power certified dealer to install. It's not a merc and several things are different including the timing. The company is great. Ask them for a t-shirt with the "fat ladies" skiing.

Please tell me more about the small blocks they build. Price? HP? Anything in the 400-500hp range?

bump,

Anybody else care to comment on this company or the engine. They have a 502 415hp, 496 425hp, 502 500hp, and a 530 539hp. All look to be great options for my repower.

Dealer site said 2 year limited warranty for the lower horsepower engine. The X 500hp motor looks just like a merc 500EFI.
