Optima's work well and cost a few bucks less. I suppose these have the advantage of fitting standard battery boxes a bit better. Sears has a solid battery line so I wouldn't worry too much. No first-hand experience with this specific battery though.

I'd compare warranty for warranty. I have good luck with optima's both racing and boating, but if you leave either one discharged or overcharge them they are done; so it comes down to who has the best warranty.

I'm probably going to purchase one from Sears. I've also looked at West Marine's AGM batteries. The Sears AGM marine batteries are less expensive then West Marine's. I'm not sure who manufactures Sears batteries but West Marines are made by East Penn and their one of the best battery manufactures.

if your charger charges both batteries at the same time the possibility exists. For the winter months I use a separate battery tender for each battery.

There are only two or three major battery manufacturers that make batteries for everybody. I have an Exide AGM battery in my daily driver with a three-year free replacement. I had to replace it right before the warranty ran out. (Lucky me!). Plenty of power and fits great.
