Strip,
The Red Dot is actually just the GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interupter) weather proof cover. They sell them at any Lowes or Home Depot. You will need an old work "cut in" electrical box, a GFI 110v 15a or 20a recepticle and a white GFI recepticle cover.

It is essentially the same equipment you would use to add an outdoor outlet in your house.

Hope this helps

Tom

BTW

Thomas and Betts aquired the Red Dot company and is now one of the largest electrical equipment distributors.

So its nothing special? The "old work "cut in" electrical box" is that like a receptacle box ,metal or plastic?

I did search thru West marine, didn't find anything, but I kinda don't what the actual name I'm looking for

I would use plastic and change over the steel mounting screws for the wings over to stainless steel. Simple enough to do. Like he said just ask for an old work high voltage rough in box at Home Depot or Lowes or were ever. I would get a hospital grade plug if they have them. They hold the cords in better then a el cheeeeepo
