Holy ***t man, are you being serious? LOL. I wasnt trying to get that technical, but I do appreciate the tech info, although it is almost greek to me.... (read... I'm not an engineer). hahahaha.

My favorite idea was the driving under the bridge. Thanks for the laugh guys.

I am having to disagree with the wing and airflow theory on a 85 mph boat. The example you gave with the car, is probably spot on since the car moves over 150mph. 99% of all wings on any craft, is not gonna provide enough force (up or down) to make a difference under 140 or so mph, unless it has some serious angles. But hell, like I said I am no engineer, just using my drag racing principles here.

About the only thing the arc lifted on our old Scarab was my uncle when he was to drunk to get out of the boat on his own. That was one of the first things remove on ours.

A stripper pole indeed! There go the aerodynamics all to hell all over again. Phragle, you just don't get it, we're talking PERFORMANCE boats here.....

You know both of my Stingers have radar arches. You have forgotten the most important thing other than the "Towel Rack"option...

When the boat engines go south and you need to change a frost plug or oil pan, you just hookup a chainfall to them and "Bob's your Uncle"!!!

Instant engine hoist!

I know I have been kidding around in this thread with some preposterous BS, but what is the issue with radar arches?

I persoanlly like them..................

How come there are so many that don't?
Let the games begin...
