Interesting. I did not know that. I just know they are(were) the closest Formula dealer.

Two words, Ocean Performance if your looking for a Formula!

If you want a family oriented boat, my 2 cents would be Formula #1 and a Fountain model with a glass windshield #2.

I think more wind protection and a decent cabin are the high points. And for overnighting I would say stay closer to the 30ft range, smaller will be cramped.

If you want more speed and less wind protection I'd say a 30', 31', or 35' Cig or similar length Active Thunder. However, there are several others that would be just as good. Just depends on your style and taste.

I know of a well kept, low hour 1999 Formula 353 that's in your price range that's in my area. Person is getting ready to list it with a broker and the price will probably be higher then.

still looking but wondering if you guys would buy a new Baja today with all the changes that are taking place with the company. Thinking of the 278 performance.

I would hesitate to buy a boat built since the announcement until such time as it's decided who stays and who goes. Moral has to be in the toilet and if that's the case then quality soon follows.

I'd be fine with existing inventory however.

I personally wouldn't buy one this year until the Baja workforce is more settled and the company direction is more stable.

I wouldn't order a new one ,but if a dealer has one07,08 on the lot go for it.
