robert,
So sorry to hear about your SET-BACK, hopefully your donor will fund your appeal. We have gone thru the same ordeal here in florida, with the $ave-the-Manatee club. It's really hard to fight these well-funded organizations in court, BIg dollars win more often than not.
Good luck,
Dean

For those not familiar with Paypal, go to https://www.paypal.com/ , click on "Send Money", then copy and paste MagicFloats email address [email protected] into the "Send Money To" box.

This was just posted on a Lake Martin forum. It is a variation of an old quote by Martin Nimoller: "First they came for the big boats, and I did not speak out-because I did not have a big boat. Then they came for the fast boats, and I did not speak out-because I did not have a fast boat. Then they came for the wakeboard boats, and I did not speak out-because I did not have a wakeboard boat. Then they came for the bassboats, and I did not speak out-because I did not have a bass boat. Then they came for my boat-and there was no one left to speak for me." Watch out ,folks, this is a slippery slope. The above thoughts are basicallly the response we got from most of the Alabama boat dealers when we asked for help. They didn't think they would be affected, because they didn't sell big,or fast boats.

Thanks Macgyver; it worked great.

It just takes a vocal minority to ruin it for all of us. We need to stick together no matter how far apart we are geographically. A precedent in Alabama can be used way up here in Karl Marx country in a heartbeat.

I owe an update to the OSO members that have contributed. We now have a new attorney, pretty well respected in our court system. Best thing is he owns a banned boat and is taking it personally. His passion about this will save us some money but there will still be a lot of cost. At this point we have no idea how we will fund the appeal but we are going to push on as far as the 5 of us(the plaintiffs) can go. Please wish us luck. Alabama Power Company thought we would fold our tent after the loss.We haven't folded yet, this is too important.
