I'm blocking off a week for travel and the race. I've been dreaming about this since reading King of Thunderboat Row 6 or 7 years ago.
Just need the info.

The race course will be posted at the race. It is very simple. 50 Nautical Miles over and 50 Nautical Miles back. One port (left) turn no stops. Quickest elasped time wins!

Each participant will get three of the official number decals. One for each side of the boat, port and starboard, and one for the deck so it can be seen from above.

This is the first roughup....the bottom area that says:
PARTICIPANT
Don Aronow Memorial Race - June 20, 2008

....will be much more to scale.....nice conversation starter when you pull into Shooters in July.

White background area with black border.
Numbers will be:

Minimum Height 18 inches
Minumum Width 13 inches (Except 1)
Minimum Stroke 3 inches
Minimum Space 7 inches (between numbers)

Race info can now be downloaded directly from the HORBA website too.

www.historicraceboats.com

We are also running a Special package sale of the giant book SEARACE and the SEARACE DVD for a special price check it out in the online store.

Anyone who is considering this and wants to see what the Gulfstream crossing is like, check it out with this package.

Also we have OSO sponsored DVD's that show open ocean racing from Big Seas....especially the "Legend of Apache" one. These are a must for the new racers.

Decal looks cool, maybe the type down bottom could be a little bigger and heavier? Just a friendly suggestion.

Reread previous post.....

....will be much more to scale....

That covers your concern.
