Ok got the interior cleaner and conditioner and went to work yesterday. Stuff works great! Looks wet but isn't! Here are some pics. Wish I would have taken some before shots. for some reason it is saying my image files are supported and they are .jpg

Let's say you have a boat that has been sitting out for 20 years, and the gel has no shine at all. Would you be better off Leverage Oxidation Remover and Polish, or, is it such a lost cause that you would be better off using something like Vertglass or Poliglow which puts a gloss finish over to top of the oxidized finish?

It would be better to do it right the first time. I would try the OR in an area and see if you get the shine back. It all depends on the boat. Some I have to wetsand and most I can just buff out. You want the Oxidation gone not just covered up and showing again in a few short months, so here's a few links that will get you the finish I imagine you're looking for.

I assume if you get too agressive or it has oxidized off a considerable amount of finish, you could end up going through the gel coat. How can you tell if you should stop, before nothing is left?

bring it too a professional getting the oxidation out using the oxidation remover from Leverage. Then it will be much easier for you to maintain from this point forward using the Leverage Polish.

Michael, If you have a high speed buffer hit it with the OR at about 1200-1400 rpm's just DONT push hard and watch the edges. I usually have to buff out my boat with a buffer and rubbing compound then try to protect the new finish. I tried the Leverage for the first time this year and wish I would of had it when I first got the boat. It would still look brand new if that was the case. The stuff works and is easy to use.
