The boat in Smarty's post is the first Cigarette that Bill Elswick race in 1979 and 1980 to win the 1980 National Championship. In the third photo (Long Shot Trailer) the guy in the cockpit with the white shirt is my friend Harold Grady of Rahilly/Grady Racing Engines and now Miss Geico Racing. The guy in the red shirt at the front of the boat is me.

I thought the 1st longshot was white then painted black with the bolster and dash forward.
Then Billy rented the mold from Don and Lindsey Perri laid up the boat & made it much lighter.
He also moved the bolster back to the engine hatch & extended the dash to accommodate.

I will see if I can get over to your area for sure.
I would love to just see her...a ride would be amazing lol. I know we have a few days with set plans and going to soggy dollar a couple of days.
Thank you!
