Article on KW world championship - London Daily Mail
Interesting article - I followed a link from another site - about the KW World Championships. It was in a recent edition of the London Daily Mail.
"The power and the glory: American powerboat racing "
It contains a little history - some fact, some fancy. Seems like a lot of focus on the "drug running" that happened in the powerboating past...some characterizations may be off the mark, and some are probably right on.
Just wondering what people thought. Here's the link:

What a pompous A**...total slam on american powerboat racing and its fans;
American fans described as "tacky glitz; drinking "watery beer"; wearing "lurid day-glo shirts", etc.
European fans however are the "rich and elite" wearing "Armani and Prada"...
then hypocritically goes on to say the europeans are at a disadvantage because the americans throw more money at an unregulated sport...while at the same time saying most are not sponsored whereas the europeans are????
Typcial display of stereotypical journalism and the european ego...who does he think he's kidding?
