Default Help!Which prop goes to which side??

Ok yes I know I stupid I didn't label them when I took them off and now I'm ready to put them on and do not know which side they go on. Please help. The picture is taken with them in front of me, so if i'm at the back of the boat and the outdrives are in front of me which prop goes where??


ps. 1989 Forumula 272 w/bravo one out drives..

left one goes on the starboard and right one goes on the port or "cr" drive

Just a guess but they are probably backwards in the pic since I bet Formula has them spinning out.

That would depend on if you are spinning them in or out. If you are spinning them out(most likely), you want them the opposite of what they are in the pic.

The only way to tell for sure is to put one of them on the boat, start the engine (on the hose) and put that drive in forward. Then you can tell which prop to put where based on which rotation will make you go forward.

You don't want to swap your props and not realize it. I tried to back off my trailer one time when a mechanic had swapped my props. I could not for the life of me figure out why I could not idle backwards off of my trailer--needs more power. I damn near drove into the back of my truck!!
