which performance manifolds ?

Switching from iron merc (gm) heads to dart alm. pro1s figured I would also change stock exhaust manifolds. Which brand manifolds should I be looking for? Wet , dry ? Headers wont be in the budget. I read some brands are crack prone?Running BBC 496 trs setup. Currently running with 5'' risers to acomadate high in the transom thru exhaust (formula silent thunder). What hp gains can I expect? Will heat issues be any different? thanks

I had excellent results when I replaced my stock Merc logs with Stainless Marine manifolds and risers on my older Formula. Performance was excellent as was better sound!

Stainless Marine and Eickert would be at the top of my list. If you want to keep any sort of muffling capability, they'll need to be wet.
