Donzi 35 ZR vs Sunsation 32 SSR

Sold my Donzi 27 ZR 496HO a couple of days ago and was set on ordering a Donzi 35 ZR with twin 496HO's........ad now I came across the Sunsation 32 SSR which looks very cool also.

Anybody can chime in on major differences and advantages on one over the others ?

The Donzi 35 ZR does seem quite a lot larger on the pictures and I have no possibility of test driving or evaluating at a dealer cause none have dealers in my country...

What speeds can I expect from the 32 SSR with twin 496HO's ?

On the website video the 32 SSR seems to sit very high in the water....or is it my eyes :) ?

All thoughts highly appreciated

Power Boat Mag just tested the 32SSR and it did ~82mph with the HO's.

I believe this is the boat:

I like the Sunny better.

I dont have much experiencce with the 35 Donzi.. the 38 is a good running boat though. The Sunsation is an awesome boat too. Mahoopac Marine is the best place around to get a Sunsation.

intouch1,
Congrats on selling your boat.

The Donzi is going to ride a bit better. Its about 2-3 feet longer than the Sunsation; depending on whose tape measure you are using. Both utilize a molded in swim platform into their overall length number. The Sunsation will probably have a bit more "bling" to it, depending on how crazy you go with graphics and options; and a slightly smaller price tag.

Not sure if you have seen the 33 Active Thunder, but its overall length is bigger than the 32 Sunsation, and on par with the 35 Donzi. The swim platform is optional with several choices. The cabin in the AT will be much bigger than both aforementioned boats; also depending on what custom options you chose, including side/side front bolsters with side cabin entry, and a stand up head the size of an airplane; OR a traditional center entry with split front bolsters. There are some pics here: http://www.activethunderboats.com/33v02.htm

We have one on the floor waiting for an owner, options, colors and power.

Good luck on your purchase no matter which way you go. Let us know if you need more questions answered about the AT. I have friends with all three boats, and you can't go wrong with any of them. A lot depends on how you plan to use the boat; i.e. poker runs, lake trips, offshore trips, overnighting, etc. etc.

I have looked at all three and the 33 AT gets my vote.

I don't much care for the headroom in the 35zr or should I say lack thereof, my 28 has more.............. but the zr is a drivers boat so...............
