Default Warning S.Jersey boaters near LBI and Atlantic City

Talked to my Friends at Sea Tow today the winter has moved a lot of sandbars around.Little Egg inlet(Holgate) at the south end of long beach island is very shallow in the marked channel once you get out in the ocean. You need to hug Long Beach Island head north then east past sandbar then turn south.
Also on the inside near 170 channel has gotten very narrow and moved west a little when heading south keep the small reb bouy to your starboard as usual but when heading north do not go all the way over to the green like we did last year
The above information is what I have been told all captains should proceed slowly in these areas to avoid possibly running aground

If the bay keeps closing up from the sandbars we can have our first NJPPC Kayak Poker Run To AC

Tim,

We were at the cloud tonight for dinner and called in a sunken green can #15 near the AC coast guard station. When we left from dinner there was a Sea Tow boat sinking just past to bouy. He ran it up on the beach to try and save it but it lookes like he might have hit it.

Thanks for the info!
I may run outside for the A/C run this year too. I do like the scenery of running the inside route however.
45 days until A/C!......not like I am counting or anything!
