It's been 44 years- she might not look that good anymore.

Here is a photo of Mel Riggs running a cat in 1970 in the California Hennessy Cup.

Attilio Petroni was the driver and Mel, shown changing the prop, was the mechanic back then.

Mel will be in attendance at the racer's reunion on Friday night and at the Trump hotel party on Saturday night.

You can only pull it back so far. ;)

Maybe she has a daughter? Grand-daughter?

Charlie-

Set up a Paypal account and a link on the HORBA website for the Aronow memorial. I'll make the first contribution.

In that picture of George Peroni in the Formula #14, if you look REALLY close, you can see some poor SOB bouncing around the cockpit on his back during the Miami-Key West race in 1964. George won class II and first unconcious codriver.

Here is a couple pics of our cute little Lake Michigan.:p
They hold the races on the east coast of Michigan because the guys from Florida can't handle cute little Lake Michigan:evilb:

Would you like to have a race on Little Traverse Bay of Lake Michigan? The coarse would run from Bay Harbor to Petoskey and back around. How do you think the boat attendance would be this far north?
