Summer is all but over, just relax, sit back, have a beer, or 100, think about it and the difference between spending the money on a new boat or building 2 engines and basicly haveing an all new classic next season. It seems to me that you really need to walk away from the 28 for a month or 2 and get your head clear. Remember what the bidding was like when you bought it and how you got it. I don't think you will do any better this time of year with bad motors reguardless of how it looks. 2 motors are alot cheaper than a new used boat and you will know exactly what you have.

It'd be nice to squeeze as much $ out of the brave as you can, but if the 10k is gonna break the deal from getting the Cig, then i think a twin engine cig may a bit much for you.
With a 38TG, $10k is a drop in the bucket.(if you do it right).

I am looking at a 30ft mystique, I just dont want to finish the boat or drop more money into it at this point, I already have 25,000 in the purchase of the Apsche and over 24,000 in resto work!!, that could have been a great down payment on a newer boat!!!!

You don't do it for the money you do it for the love. If the love ain't there, kick it to the curb.

Have you pulled thos engines to see what's going on inside? They may be fixable with minimal investment.
If you want to off it before it snows, you're only going to see 50 cents on each dollar you have in it.
