This is the last photo I shot before our arrival in Cancun...
there is a slight building of the sea visible in comparison from the shot in the last post.
In another 40 miles things changed dramatically.
As we passed the western end of Cuba into the Yucatan Channel we ran into some huge rollers.
There is no way to hold a camera at that speed in that water and expect any kind of focus.
Then, Sobo tried to put us into orbit off one of those monsters... I came down hard in the seat and tweaked my back.
It took everything I had for the next 150 miles to keep pressure off the sore spot by pushing down on the bolster with my hands...
so pictures were the last thing on my mind at that point.
Gotta give mad props to Kevin for his great work getting us across the channel.
In addition to finding the smoothest line, he was constantly asking me if I was ok... the vicodin helped.
