Cool vid! But why would they leave aircraft on the deck in that weather?

sometimes by the time you realize that the water is like that it is too late to do something about it. I used to work catapults back in the 70's and when the water got rough you had to time going up the bow so that you did not get washed away checking the steam in the foward part of the cat.

The saltwater must have raised hell on those planes but you guys did a great job preserving them. Back in the 70's I was a backseater in the F-4 Phantom. I remember getting resupplied with planes the Navy was tired of. Other than the one Randy Cunningham bent fighting Migs in Viet Nam they were not in terrible shape.
