I hope everyone's ok. Sounds like the Top Gun that was re-powered at Cobra Power last winter.

One of the last posts says he was dropping it in the water May 08 for the first time this year. Glad everyone is ok.

with all the work done it sounds like it was mechanical.. he does not seem like the type to do figure eights around the bay...

I saw that boat heading in the opposite direction. Toward the Dutchman.

Does anyone know how he flipped it? Other than he took a sharp right and a left and hit his own wake?

Big boat and a great hull, just wondering what went wrong.

Thanks,
Mike

My boss claimed the boat was doing figure 8's and donuts when the incident occured. He estimated the boat was 30-35', he said it was difficult to tell the length because the boat was upside down with it's bow sticking up, the stern was stuck in the mud. He said it was a yellow and white hull. SeaTow showed up quickly and claimed it would be a "salvage" opposed to a "tow" (bastar..s). Does anyone have a any other info? The accident happened about 4pm a mile north of Tice's shoal. A nasty thunderstorm was coming in at the same time. The passengers were transported to Barnegat Municipal dock.

You gotta love bad information especially when posted and having no clue. For your information I had my 70 yr old father my 68 year old mother my sister with my 13 yr old nephew my wife and my 8 and 10 yr old on board going for fathers day lunch when the storm came in. Just the right crew to be out at the beginning of a storm to be doing figure 8s with. Gotta love gossip. Not even a "I hope everyone was ok comment" AMAZING

To all who are inquiring about the accident by Manahawkin Inlet. If you were not there I would appreciate the false accusations to stop. I was there and I was ejected from the boat and it was a very traumatic experience. My husband has driven a boat for over 25 years and is the most responsible person i know when it comes to boating. Whoever is giving you information is so unbelievably wrong its not funny. He doesnt even have the make, color or length correct. We were not doing crazy eights and were definetely not out of control prior to this. My children were on board and I would never allow that to happen on anyones boat never mind my own. We are all OK, thank god, just alot of aches and pains. Irene
