That doesn't look like the proper trailer for the boat. Maybe to keep it from rocking

I talked to a salesman at National Liquidators last Thursday about that Scarab. He said the bid the ;ast week was $23500. He thought it was going to be accepted, but hadn't hurd for sure yet. The drive they had laying in the shop. He said he didn't know of any problems with it. The wood on the engine cover is rotted. That and the fabric need replaced. The rest of the intior cold be cleaned and saved. The entire hull needs buffed out. It's faded very bad.
Why do some people let boats get in that bad of condition so fast. Maybe that's why it was repoed.
Don't know about the strap on the bow, it wasn't there when I looked at the boat. Maybe they hadn't pulled it far enough on the trailer when they loaded it.
