Default FRAM oil filters

This may have already been brought up but I am going to bring it up anyway because of the potential problems it could cause. I am not sure how many of you run the FRAM HP4 oil filters but I just found out that there is a recall on them. Something about the seal letting go and losing oil pressure. If you go on their website it will tell you how to determine if you have a potentially bad one.

I've used Fram, K&N, NAPA Racing, Mercury Racing, Wix etc. and the only one I've ever had a problem with was the Mobil1 filter......

Make sure you think about this the next time you pull your car or truck into a quick lube.

As far as my boat I like to use ac delco, thinking these are the people who designed the engine.

I agree, had a fram collapse and puke an engine. My engine builder was pissed and said to switch to the Napa Gold or Wix. Happens more often than me he said.

What is the Wix number that replaces the Fram HP4?
