Thumbs up Rob Freeman & Dave Sikorski - HORBA Race

I am proud to announce that two of "Ours" successfully ran the Haulover to Bimini and back again race held Friday, June 20th in the first ever Don Aronow Memorial race. Rob's gorgeous 42' Cigarette Tiger dubbed "Bad Girl" easily passed my safety inspection and performed flawlessly while crossing the Gulfstream twice. I couldn't have been prouder had they been my own two sons crossing the finish line.

Gino G. and Larry Goldman in the MTI "Mercedes Benz of Ft. Lauderdale" had the quickest time of 1 hour and 3 seconds in a brilliant display of class, horsepower and boating skills.

Thanks Ed,
This by far is one of the most humbling statements of our trip, over the years that you and I have talked, it is indeed my honor to have finally met you. Once again I'll speak for myself and Dave that to be a part of the first memorial race was OUR honor and you introducing us to so many of the racers we have looked up to. I think the highlight was just us 3 hanging out on the cabana waiting for the downpour to pass on Thursday morning.

Once again I would like to express my thanks to Charlie, Ed, Brad and all the people that helped these guys pull this off. I can pretty much guarantee that assclown racing will be at the next event. I made an offer to an offshore hero at dinner on Friday night and we will see if he is up to it. thanks again for everyones support from OSO as well and to the people that are thinking of entering remeber..."You have to play to win"

Rob, Dave,
It's got to be a great feeling to be able to say you've done this.
Everything goes right, I'll be able to say it myself next year at this time - but I won't be able to say I was in the first one.
Congrats on the run.
