Speakers for Marine use

Ok Guys and Gals,

Need your help. I want to add 2 more speakers to my sound system but I'm not sure which to get, I would like to get Babb's since I 've heard they're great but too much $$$ right now.

In a 6 1/4 or maybe 6x9??

What are you guys using that sound good and will last at least
2 seasons in saltwater?

Thanks

I bought Babbs from AudioFn- IMHO you get what you pay for. I've heard other marine speakers that are OK and a little less money (Clarions and Poly planars), but I don't think they measure up to Babbs'. AudioFn and FWK will steer you the right direction.

the babb are nice speakers. i've used quite a few of them. i usally add a seperate tweeter with them to bring out the crisp highs. i'm not around salt water, so i could'nt tell how long they will last. the cones are aluminum, and they are all one piece.

Babbs are the best across the board speaker out there. I do use them in salt and the only failure I have seen is with the grills a while back and they warranteed every one of them. :D:D

I sell BAAB,Bazooka, and MB Quart. For sound quality and volume as well as durablity, I recommend MB Quart. In many cases, I suggest one pair of BAABs for volume and mids. Then we smooth out the sound with a pair of MBQuarts.

If you are on a budget, Bazooka makes an 8 incher that plays loud for around a hundred a pair.

The Babbs are the way to go. The company stands behind the product. They will not cost you that much more for a pair than Infinity or PolyPlanar. Check with Audiofn on a price and you will be surpised that they are affordable. The only problem is they do not have a 6.5 inch speaker so you would have to get 5.25 or 6x9. Forrest

I tried emailing you but your box was full. What would
a pair of the Babb 5 1/4 or 6x9 go for?

Thanks
Angel
