Eliminators are a great lake boat. The fit and finish is the best out there. The interior are very nice. Rough water with the center pod is a problem. I have owned both designs hulls, center pod and true cat. For under 100 mph the pod boat is great and the cats not as good. Over 100 the cat really shines and the pod tunnels get a little scary in rough water.
MTI, Skater, Motion, Spectre in that order. |

People put them on to help with planing when running large props. Put one down and land wrong and you will be stuffing your cat.

I think putting a tunnel tab on a cat is asking for problems.

Does anyone build a custom cat that competes with these top guys, thinking like Al Copeland used to do. It was some kind of sailbote builder or something? I would like to see more pics of some nice designs that are not as common. If any
- JC will design and build you whatever you want. Copeland had his built by Goetz http://www.goetzboats.com/projects/p...yes/index.html Not sure who designed it. |

Yep, if you can dream it, JC and design it and build it. Just got the Nordic back from Mystic after they wet sanded it and clear coated with 3 coats of clear, and it looks brand new! I need to post some before and after pics. People ask me if it's a new boat, I couldn't be more pleased in how it turned out. Thanks JC and crew,:drink: Mean Dean |
I own the 2005 30 Eliminator in the classifieds. I frequently drive the boat over 100 (usually just a short burst). It is capable of 130+; at 120 it feels very comfortable for the driver and front seat passenger. As for the passengers in the rear they get blasted with air and no holding a drink or it will get sucked from the container. My point is if you are planning on taking friends that don't want their skin peeled off, plan to do 80 or less in the Eliminator.
The 30 can handle a 2 to 2.5 chop and still be enjoyable. Not saying you can’t go in bigger water but it is not the most fun. My boat has a tunnel tab the only time I use it is to help get on plane. |

I'll admit I'm somewhat biased but my vote goes towards Nor-Tech...they might not be the fastest but they are in my opinion the best looking cat...moving or sitting still they look hot...:ernaehrung004:
