The trip boat should be more expensive. Trips have proven to be more efficient at cruising speeds and reduce stress on drives vs twins with higher horsepower. I went from twins to trips and have not found repair costs to have increased dramatically. I love the security of having trips as I can always cruise home on two. Just my .02.

What most people don't realize, is triples are actually less expensive starting out. When we originally ordered ours, the 525's (2) were a $47K upgrade, and the 496 HO's (3) was $15k less.

In all, we gained 5MPH, less upkeep, more handling capability and personally I think, it looks cool under the deck. all for less money. Oh and by the way, it is much more efficiant in fuel mileage, untill you go over 4000 rpm...I recommend the triple, however twin 700's would sure be nice. (for a cool $90K upgrade)

somehow you missed the point I believe.... safety and peace of mind have VALUE, and value translates to $$$$$$$ when it comes to buying or selling something.

In today's market you cannot GIVE a triple boat away. I know of a 45 Sonic that is pristine with 3 502's in it, he is down to stupid money and still can't sell. You also need to look at insurance. Many companies will not insure a triple boat, don't know why, just don't. My buddy just traded in a pristine 47 Fountain with fresh triple 650's, I can point you in the right direction if you want one. Same goes for the Sonic.

triples are still for sale for long time... will try to sea trial one soon... we'll see the result !

Talk to any dealer sitting on a triple. Much lower resale than the twin right now. Triples are white elephants. FACT.
