Me and my girlfriend took her niece and nephew there for lunch yesterday and took a few pics of the kids in the mini boats out front. That hydroplane was the first boat me and Big Time bought. Cost us $60 bucks, but we never did anything with it. My Dad painted and lettered it and stuck it out front.

tcuda,

The place is located in Westport, CT on the Saugatauk River. It may be a little out of your way being that it is probably close to an hr away from Bristol, but if you are ever down this neck of the woods I would def recommend stopping in to take a look at some pics of race boats old and new and also to sample the wings, which they are well know for. Let me know if you ever want to try the place out, I'll try to me you there for a cold one.

Indeed!

About 15 or so years ago there was major construction done where they drove a bunch of steel I beams through the foundation to make sure that it wasn't going anywhere. Apparently the Duck could have been leveled off at that point but no one could imagine it w/out the slant....so the Duck is still slanted towards the water today (and is still confusing all of the drunks!!!!). I guess it adds a little bit of character to the place

you have to be careful that you don't get too much speed as you go to the restroom.

As I recall the bathroom floors were not slanted, so if you were half in the bag and had "adjusted" your footing to the listing condition....as you stepped into the John...you fell down........
