It was racingtainment!

I think Motley Crew ran hard the whole time since all the other boats there were faster, but the it looked like the other teams played the you win, I win, somebody else wins this time game... I mean I was holding my breath wondering if Geico could pass a supercat on the last lap... they did. whew.

It was a show, so who really cares, better than not watching anything.

Those pics are great, they look fast just sitting at the dock. Maybe the reason he thought you were at half throttle is he goes tripple digits in a sting ray. I'm sure most everything is slow compared to that.

It did seem that in some of the heats the boats were pedaling it a bit, as I'm pretty sure that Miss Geico should have been running away from Talking Trash, which ran in every heat. I was impressed with Talking Trash, and they helped put on a great show. They did a pass about 20 ft off the sea wall at speed that really got the crowd going.
actually the straights were pretty short and we could only get the boats rolling for just a short stab. On the downriver leg it was ruff just before the turn and you had an extra 30mph of airspeed keeping the boat on the tunnel longer. The Roostertail turn was just plain tight but was a blast. We would get on it and drift out to the wall and run down the straight and it was a blast seeing everyone cheering and waiving the approach to both turns required a bit of restraint.

You are correct, After the U-7 boat went over, there was a 5 hr break in the action. and it sucked!

That was the first hydro event since 1983 for me. and it is still bad A$$

How fast were you guys hitting on the straights?

Most of the fans there were either hydroplane guys, or just race fans in general, or just looking for something to do. Everyone seemed very entertained by the offshores though, even if they new nothing about them. Thanks for the good show, and that Talon sounded awesome.

Im sure if you took a survey of the people there, most found it very enjoyable. When moltley crew made that pass right along the wall it was an awesome sight. Perhaps you should skip the boat races and just go to the airshow instead. Then post your list of complaints about that.

i think we were hitting 100-110, the supercat and extreme guys were probably hitting the 130's. We are the only ones running the tractor style exhaust and as you heard . . . . they let ya know were coming. Thank you for the compliments.

I just get the greatest feeling when we buzz a shoreline where fans are on their feet with arms in the air yelling and cheering. Always glad to be a part of any event that has that kind of fan base and given the circumstances it was good to be there to fill in for the unfortunate weather. There was no way the Unlimited guys could have run, its to bad cuz i was hoping to make it down to the Rooster and watch the finals but safety first as we all know.
