Default You just got to love this. Sea Tow.. Repo?

Just saw this guy in a parking lot...Sea Tow dude is lurking in parking lot. Looking for cars/trucks to salvage? WTF!!! .. now they are after land based vehicles?? “Land Tow” ?? After all the “Salvage” they did . no wonder they can ride in $40,000+ trucks.. “Sea Tow” = REPO???
I'm gonna start taking my dogs with me in my truck. I would give anything seeing this dude get close to my car with my German Shepherds in it. the 38 is already under the seat..
WTF...

As bad as Sea-Tow can be, it looks to me like the dude's just parked in a parking lot. How do you propose he is going to do repo/"salvage"? Maybe he's just eating lunch / making a phone call, etc.

I would be much more concerned seeing dogs in a vehicle in July in hot Florida than a guy parked in a parking lot.

Maybe this poor guy had a bad expeariance with sea towe and still has a bad vibe about the company , but most towe companies are like bottom feeders thay take almost anything thay can to make a buck !

OK, I guess you have been gone from the board for a while Scott. You see, Paradox Pete was at the race when a boat that was not being abandoned was the victim of a salvage attempt. This prompted much talk about the legality, etc. Paradox was very involved, to the point of researching the law and drafting a tow contract for people who are now leery of Sea Tow and the like, as it recently seems that they have acted in a predatory way.

I think that after all that Paradox did and researched, and shared with others so that they can be protected, he deserves to vent. He works on sensitive contracts and would never actually do or condone an act of violence against this dude in a parking lot. Nor would he leave his dogs in the car. The guy is quite stable.
Let him vent, it's not like he wasn't a positive force in the situation. He felt that us, this audience, would sympathize with his frustration.
I do. And I see this as just an observation/vent. Not a threat.

Rock on Peter.

Thank you Fund..

packinair... While I made some "observations" and thought the Sea Tow truck was... to say the least interesting to see in the lot.... I was asking questions... See the question marks??
As for my dogs... they love to go rides and no... they don't stay in the car all day.
With the 38... I will do what ever I have to and can complying with the full extent of the law.

Hmmmmmmmmm, I wonder what on land constitutes a "salvage" as opposed to a "tow"? Does "Maritime Law" apply because the truck says Sea Tow on it? Is a parked car considered "abandonned"? Is a car with a flat on the freeway in "serious peril"? Do they have to call the truck a "Salvage Vessel with wheels"?
