It was hitting the rev limiter, it started doing it at 138mph, how fast will it go not on the rev limiter???

To expand on that...

It means that you have more power to put to the water than the props will allow. Diff pitch would give the boat more speed

SO, does that mean a 42' Poker Run with Mercury Racing 850SCI's should run around 125MPH ????

Jassman 08-13-2008 10:27 AM

dont forget to factor in all the dry sump stuff, heavier drives etc...

Thats what I think. I had one on order when I had the other 42. We figured it would run somewhere 120-130ish. Reggie said he didn't really want to build the PR with power bigger than the 600's for the reg market. Thought it would be a little dangerous but he was going to do one for me.

He can't be right all the time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Big Power and #6 drives in the 42' Poker Runs sure seems to be a good running boat??

Dude, I am not argueing with ya...I know the boat is heavy but for those that do not know it is still fuel efficient and runs in the rough very well like most Fountains.
