I was reading the thread on Byrdman's 46 with similar JC power and they were pleased to have gotten 300 miles out of them. That's about 2 hours.

I was reading in the paper about a Windsor Ontario steel tycoon. He has a boat called Man of Steel, that was described as having two 1,600hp engines, and a top speed of 175mph. Does anyone know of this boat, what kind it is, etc?

Here's another one- Sorcerer. http://www.sorcererboating.com/images/new.htm Claiming 2100 hp. That must be just short of maintaing top fuel motors. If you follow the link, turn up the volume :) |
Saw the article on that thing in Poker Runs America a few years back...all the logos are "Z's" instead of "S's" for "Zuperman"...reflecting the fact that the owners name started with a Z. I remember thinking "Sweet boat...but what the heck would resale be on that thing...it's so customized to the owner, who else would want it?" It has Zs sown into the seats, the speaker covers, EVERYWHERE.

I read in the Globe and Mail last week he sold his company to the Russians for 3.5 Billion dollars ( yes billion ) dollars. He has agreed to stay on to run the company. He no doubt is a very busy guy. :)

Man of Steel - he is out of lake st clair (Canadian Side) not far from where I live, I've seen him out a few times over the years, his house is amazing, it is basically a landmark on the shoreline, many local boaters anchor out in front of his palace & hang out...
