HOMESICK!!!!!!!!!

You folks are making me homesick. I was born in Mariemont. I had relatives in Milford, Batavia off of 32, Loveland and My Mom and Dad graduated from Goshen High school. My Grandfathers home was off of 28 by that old outdoor theater. I also have relatives that live in Burg. I spent my summers there skiing on the Ohio River. My dad worked at the old General Motors plant in Hamilton and transferred to Marion Indiana in 1958. I used to love going there for my summers. It was and still is a great place. Just wanted to add my .02. DMAN2

Birdog, I might take you up on that. Most of my summers I spent in Batavia at my cousins house. We used to cruise all night in his 1969 Z/28 Camaro. My cousins in Milford had a 1969 396 SS Camaro and my oldest one had a COPO 427 1969 Camaro. There dad worked as a foreman at the paint shop for the GM assembly plant in Norwood. That COPO was one wild ride. I am having some real flash backs now. And I almost forgot the Little Kings in the green pony bottles. That is It, I will be up there this summer. Talk to you all soon. DMAN2:D :D :D

We also boat on the river near Cincy. Lets hope the "banks project" gets built, it would be nice, and yes it seems to get a little rougher every year.

DONZIMAN2 03-04-2002 05:20 PM

The COPO was Red. I was about 3-4 years younger than these guys but they always dragged me along. That 427 in the copo was awesome. It was the coolest production car I ever rode in. I just sold my 68 Pro Street Camaro last year that I had owned since 1981. The last motor I had in there was a 511 CI Big Block with Dart heads, Pat Musey Cam and Bill Mitchell 1050 Dominator. It had a Gotley 400 turbo, 8 inch convertor, trans brake, and narrowed Dana 60 rear end. I just had to make the shift to the water. NO STOP SIGNS SPEED LIMITS!!!!!!!!! Talk to you soon. DMAN2

We reviewed the plans for The Banks when we were inspecting the Great American Ballpark. The city just agreed to dump a ton of money into it, of course they have to "clean up Vine St." first. (priorities screwed up?) so that will probably slow it down but they said they hope to be done by 2003-04. The plans showed a firehouse on the river w/ a boat dock/ramp for the fireboat. Looks like CFD12 and I shouldn't have a hard time finding a place to dock that summer!:p

birdog 03-04-2002 05:41 PM

Oh........Man....... you gotta let us tie up with you !!!! If this boycot stays going there wont be any buss left in the Vine st area !!!
