The drives are very reliable. I had a 76' 24 SRV (Over Nighter) that would run circle around a single engine version and get better fuel mileage. The rhing would run 40mph with a clean bottom including fishing gear and everyting. The hull is a wave crusher for its size. I sold the boat a couple years ago and still talk to the new owners. They love it compared to their SRV 22.

Definately check the transom and stringers.
