Can Fountain not make a custom vent on the side of the boat instead of like 8 per side. It makes it look like the National Lampoons Family Truckster

what are those things coming off of the top of the drives? Vents?

It's a real shame, as it's a lovely boat, with superb performance, but the fit and finish of most things is a bit Baylinerish.

They don't seem to survive to well in our waters either!

Yes they are vents. They vent to the props to help them slip a little and get the rpm up and get the boat on plane.

South Coast, UK................would that be the English Channel??? If it is, I've been there, some of the roughest water anywhere!!!!
BUT, I agree the cut should be sealed and a molded vent would really up-date it.
