I think he was a navigator here in '87. Idling in early on one of the races in Key West.

My narration , however, suffered a slight, obscenity filled, interruption.

Those were the days my friend....they almost came to a wet end.........:eek::eek:

We all had b*lls the size of coconuts...... maybe not the best combination in a low level, high speed, helicopter camera crew.... :D

Hi Lightspeed: The security was so high because Princess Caroline was staying on the Trump Princess with Melanie. Don and Melanie were back together. My wife had dinner with Caroline, Ivana, and Melanie with all the kids one evening, while myself, D.J., Trump, Cassiraggi, and Some VP`s from General Motors had dinner in the Trump Castle. It used to be incredible walking through the casino with those guys, Having lunch was a mojor ordeal with everyone crowded around for autographs. That`s when they said DJ was a a-hole because he wouldn`t sign autographs for the crowds during lunch dinner etc.. Like I said though, the movie stars were never solicited by the snactioning bodies which never could have afforded them anyway, they came because they had a ligitimate passion to go racing as did priestly etc. Kurt Russell was my driver in Key West for the worlds, and he did it for pure adrenalin rush, he also has a stunt plane he loves to fly. I have had several celebs go for rides in the race boats. Most notably was Steve McQueen who was going to drive for Martini & Rossi back in the seventies. Jacky Icxks famous Formula 1 and Lemans winner, Colin Chapman Lotus/Formula 1, Ceaser Fiorio etc etc. Bottom line is they were all Offshore enthusiasts who just enjoyed it for what it was, man against the sea and the command of horsepower against other competitors.
