so what did you do with your marina, condos? what was the name of your marina you owned? I can't remember.

My marina was in Myrtle Beach. Silver Coast. Sold it Dec '06. Not sure what stage it's in but they broke ground last spring. 200+ racks inside plus another 100+ stored outside.

So that gives marinas the right to jack the price WAY up. If marinas can do it in an emergency, why not gas stations and super markets. Let’s charge fifteen bucks for a bottle of water, ten for a bag of ice or twenty for a gallon of gas. Because you need to eat or drive your car or truck out of harms way Sounds reasonable. I am all for making money but a 700 percent increase is BS and I would report them as well.

Gas and water are completely diff from needing to take care of a toy. I would GIVE people gas, water, anything they needed. Boats are very diff.

Lucky For Us Ike Is Turning South And Hopefully Wont Hurt Us

Now I see noting wrong with that price. I am sorry maybe I am the minority here when I think $3200 is ridiculous to store a boat for two days.

Storage racks

From my experience I/O boat buildings fare poorly in hurricanes. They typically become the 1'st place the news infobabes chopper above to WOW us with the damage coverage. They then go to the older trailer parks, then Marinas, ......Scott's house, etc. = :>)

So your boy thinks trailers are unnecessary??? Well obviously not, ya know this is not the first or last storm to hit FL??

but to each their own, If I was down there I would haul it out for 3K

Yea, I mean what good would a trailer be if you have a lift.....

Most people who own nice hi-perf boats in south fl have a lift, a marina they work with, a trailer AND a storage set up in a safe block building a ways in from the beach/water areas.
