we made it ok, running my office on generator so I can run payroll.
We spent two hours in the eye of the storm which was very strange. I have 30 trees down at home at least 10 were 80 foot oaks. two hit the house, one on the roof and the other poked through the kitchen wall. even though our area was slammed hard, they had power back on by Monday night, apparently due to a superintendent of maintenance for centerpoint power living on our street. it 's going to be a lot of work, but really for us, not much damage. Good luck to the rest of you. |

The fountain is DONE. The Formula looks fine, the Cig looks fine and the Scarab looks like it could use some TLC...Big hole on the starboard bow.

looks like the fountain is the one with the hole, and the one upside down does not have a beak.

Tommy - Glad to see your doing well.
Mark - How is Banana Bend?? Did the beach move down again? That was on helluva night - and damn long too. The eye of the storm was frikkin cool - stars, not a drop of wind .... then the chit hit the fan one more time..... House is good except for rain being blown in the side facing the river - the yard took a beating but I don't think I lost that much land .... we'll see once we clear enough debris to get down there. Now if I could just find the little Jose lookin fella that could clear this chit from my yard .... |
I posted some more pics on the thread in the TOPPS club section

My shop/apartment weather the storm suprisingly well. We got lucky. Hunkered down in the lower floor and listened to the freight trains going by. Looks like a tornado missed the front of it by about 100 feet. I have about twenty trees down, five of which went down over the barb-wired fence. All in all, I'd say i'm pretty lucky compared to some of the stuff I've seen around the lake. Still no power but it is coming on all around us in the last few days. Thanks for all of the well wishes from the OSO fam.

there was just a story on yahoo news about a bar on the beach in galveston called the poop deck, they said that they were not going to close or put up shutters, probably not hear from them again.
