is the LED more of a directional type light over a glowing type light?

Those are Truck-Lite brand cargo strips. Outrageously overpriced if you buy them through normal channels. I came across them as uber-cheap surplus.

Interesting. I bought some LED conversion bulbs from "SuperBriteLEDs.com", which turns out to be the same company. Great products, great prices, fast shipping, and VERY helpful on the phone.

FYI, i installed yellow LEDS under my bolsters, throughout the cockpit and in the motor compartment. For some reason, i never got the "glowing" effect. They are like miniature spotlights trained on a small circle about 3" around.. It sucks, provides no light for the area I wanted to light up.. I think they have to be turned "sideways" when they are installed instead of pointing straight down.. just my experience..

You'll get a more even light with neon compared to LEDs. It all depends on what you are looking for.

I used super bright on my Fountain.I used the string type in the engine compartment. There is a light every 6 inches on a strand with a 3m sticky type backing. They light the whole engine area up.The LED's don't use any watts to run compared to neon witch require alot of voltage to run.
