Hurricane Ike boat registry
I think we should start a list on here of all the high-perf boats that were involved with hurricane ike, for two reasons: so nobody buys one of these boats and doesnt know it was involved, and also for the people who are interested in buying one of these salvaged boats........

Most of the boats that were damaged or destroyed were cruisers and sailboats that could not be taken out of the water. I have seen a few go fast boats that were badly damaged, but it seems like the majority of the owners pulled their boats. Our marina was totally destroyed. Of the boats left there during the storm there might have been 8 or 10 go fasts. Most of them are damaged beyond repair and will be totalled. If they were left in their slings they floated up against the steel beams above that held the winches and were crushed or beaten by the wind and waves, then they filled with water and broke the slings and sunk. The few that are left in their slings have huge crush marks on the decks that can never be repaired. I am on a work computer and our power is not on at home, but I will post a few pictures of the devastation. Remember these boats are only toys, keep the people who have had their lives, homes, and businesses in your thoughts and prayers.

From viewing some of the pics of the aftermath, I sure didn't see too many go-fasts damaged or sunk... I guess most of the hi-performance guys decided they couldn't leave their baby and got the f out of dodge.
