Dean the Canfields were hard annodized but I ended up doing closed cooling anyhow. It's not that much money to do and way cheaper than buying heads and intakes.

I made right at 600hp with a set of 510ci with 10:1 compression.
Had ported heads and port matched intake and holly 850ho carbs.
The combination was bullet proof and picked my AT up over 8 mph over the stock HP500.
