Well it was an interesting day.
Left Highlands NJ around 7 AM went back up around Sandy Hook and hit 8-10 footers, they were well spread apart so we put it in putput mode... 1400 rpm and 11 knots and rocked and rolled.
GPS said we would make AC in about 6 1/2 hours at 11 Knots and then when we passed Banegat Light the heading went a little more toward the west so we had the seas to our back, we were able to get to our normal 21 knots crusing speed so we made AC around 1 PM. The last 5 miles were in freaking pea soup fog and we had to come in the inlet on idle on radar and GPS with all six eys of the crew watching for anything!
Fun ride but exhausting.
We'll see what goes tomorrow.
We'll spend the night here and see what goes tomorrow.

-Nuke Plant in South Jersey on Delaware Bay
BTW that Bay is weird as hell to boat on rough... shallow and brown. I hope it's nicer on other days but I would not go out of my way to get on that thing again....

You're in my neck of the woods, now, boy. Looks like you're in the Bohemia River? Make sure that you swing up the Sassafras river and stop at Georgetown. Skipjack Cove is a great marina, but don't buy your fuel there...
Yep - Delaware Bay is usually pretty much a big washing machine. The C5A was out of Dover AFB. Lots of them there. You might see something even scarier as you pass south of Aberdeen (Proving Grounds).....
