I think it was a discrace that reggie would bring a race boat to a poker run in the first place haven't there been enough accidents from this kind of crap!!!!

I can see your point, but Reggie doesn't bring the boats to drive recklessly, erratic, or generally unsafe in anyway. The accidents have been mostly driver error, and that should help sharpen ANYONES mental skills while running with a high performance boat in a comparitive group. Reggie literally is there to spread Fountains pheromones wherever possible.

I hope people keep bringing the race boats & race cats to the fun runs. It makes others want to attend, so they can catch a close up look at the "big toys", which are huge in getting kids interested into cars, motorcycles, and boats. Fountain always has "something" that holds a world record, so their commitment to performance is key.

Nope....1984 was a walk in the park compared to this. We had Reagan rebuilding stability and pride after the Carter debacle, increasing consumer confidence, and a pretty strong business climate. Now we have declining business levels, two socialists running for President, a congress that resembles the Politburo, bankruptcies and foreclosures Worldwide, and an emotional and scared investing public.

I repeat this is the WORST scenario by far in my lifetime.

great analogy!!! but i have a better one ... Reggie comes out with his 1000 hp 1988 mustang GT to a road rally with a bunch of Ferrari's,lambo's and Porsche's with 3 gallons of gas waits at the first red light smokes em all in a 1/4 mile turns around and puts it back on the trailer all the while saying how bad i smoked them....

I remember that video too. To be fair and honest the Don Johnson boat had an engine down and was dragging a dead prop in the water at the time Reggie was saying: "Bye bye movie star". Most people watching the video will never know that. That's opportunistic marketing at its best.
