actually the first place to start is with prop rotation and prop type. Maybe higher rake? what have you tried so far? not sure what you would do to a hull . . . add rocker?

i have tried
17x26 labbed 4 blade merc cleaver tips rounded gave good bow lift but 55mph 17x27 3 blade merc labbed 50 mph 17x26 3 blade high rake bronz 58mph 16x24 chopper type prop 4 blade 65mph but i cant find out who manafactured the chopper or cant find another one like that if you search CHOPPER WANTED cheers gerard |

Weight in the bow of the boat is a big game changer.
Weight in the stern seems to have a pretty big effect as well. Propwise: Less blades= (less stern lift) which translates to more bow lift smaller diameter= (less stern lift) which translates to more bow lift round ear blades= more bow lift Hullwise: Making sure there is no hook has got to help bow lift. (It feels impossible to lift the bow when you have a hook) A little bit of rocker in the hull seems like it would assist trim induced bow lift Not sure about the chines- maybe larger/wider strakes would help but not sure on that one. |
its a 26 ft fletcher all in weight 2.35 ton left hand prop
