Gotta agree with last posting. I also thought it would be great to make my hobby a full time job. I went to work for the owner of a larger boat as captian. Turned out to be a lot of long hours, always at the becking call of the owner , and always on call . Also being responsible for keeping the boat in top shape (washing, cleaning ,vacuum, etc.) made it seem like the job description now was being a glorified Hazel the housemaid. Looking back it was a good work experience , but now I would rather boat only as a hobby and enjoy it on my terms .

I think it does take a certian type of person to turn a hobbie into a activity that pays the bills and then some. I know of some people who did exactly that, took something that they loved to do as a hobby and made something more of it. There is one guy that owns a boat company that loves to build boats and everytime he is out on a demo ride his smile is as big as anyone elses on that boat. So it really depends on your personality, and my advise is if it really interets you, go for it, you only live once.:D
