Cig 40 or Glock 33 compact with a 357sig barrel. The Glock is nice because it's only a 3 1/2" barrel. Easier to keep concealed.

Shotguns are great for close range but nothing beats being able to shoot a few rounds across the bow of an enemy at 200 yards. This keeps them away. Empty a 20 round clip in their general direction and they will change their minds about approaching you. Ron |

The reason I think the Mini-30 is perfect for the boat is because its a small carbine that comes in stainless that is very reliable and doesnt cost that much. On top of that its powerful and fun to shoot. You can fire 100's of rounds with out getting worn out. Its not the most accurate gun in its class but when shooting from a boat that is rocking up and down in practice its just as good as the AR-15 guns. One of my dads friends always kept one on his boat. He never took it out the boat. The only maintance he did to it was to fire it once a summer. Ron |

On the big boat, I have a couple of Binelli M4 Shot guns and a couple of AR-15's...
On the Offshore I carry one of each... And of course...I am always strapped with a Kimber 45 cal. Custom and a S&W .357 light as an ankle back-up... You can never have enough guns &/or ammo... I'm always ready and steady... Regardless of where or when I ride... BTW...if you guys are gonna get an assualt rifle, for whatever reason, the hour is getting late...You don't have long...Demand has increased, legal supply has decreased and prices are skyrocketing... I always wondered why the first question the CG would ask me when they stopped me, is do you have any guns on board? I though thats an odd question to ask. Who carries guns....now I know why they ask??? What do they do when the answer is yes?

When you consider the demise of the charter boat family from Star Island, Fla.... And Somoli pirates hi-jacking freighters and such (sic)... you never know what can happen... The boating & floating world has become a much more dangerous place... I may never have the opportunity to use them when afloat, but... I'd rather have and not need... Than...need and not have...
