Default 25' Powerplay - In or Out?

I have a 25' Powerplay with a pair of 225 Pro Max's. I'm currently turning my props out. The boat is a 22 degree "V" pad bottom.

I was told by someone who has raced boats for years that I should spin the props IN to pick up speed.

The other day I spoke to a very knowledgeable prop manufacturer who told me to keep them spinning OUT. He said by spinning them in it pulls the stern down and I won't pick up speed.

Who's right?
