The day after I saw that move I went out and bought my first boat, a Yellow & White GT160 glastron. Boat had a 115hp mercury. I would run that boat hard all day long and only use 18 gallons of gas.

Great chase scene. I was going to say they copied from Live and Let Die, but this movie was made in 1971 and the Bond movie in 1973. Never heard of it.
Brings back a lot of memories. I had a mint 1972 Glastron GT150, orange and white identical to the boat in Live and Let Die. It had the original 80 hp Mercury inline on it. I eventually rerigged to a brand new Evinrude 100 XP. That boat was a little rocket.
Here are the chases from Live and Let Die. All Glastrons in these chases, they sponsored. This was the world record for a boat jump for a long time.
